INTERPRETING

Mexa Translations provides, for the time being, only consecutive interpreting, especially from English to Indonesian and vice versa. We provide the consecutive interpreting services for events such as interview, seminar, lecture, speech, academic presentation, training, field research, surveys, and etc.

We are a professional consecutive interpreting service provider. Our interpreters are professional interpreters having experiences in consecutive interpreting for years. They will ensure that the messages of the speakers in an event are conveyed accurately to the audience. Our professional English - Indonesian interpreters conduct intensive researches on the topic of the events prior to performing their work.

 

Types of Interpreting Services 

At the moment, we only provide English - Indonesian consecutive interpreting service for events such as interviews, seminar, lecture, speech, academic presentation, training, field training, surveys, and etc.

 

What is Consecutive Interpreting? 

Consecutive interpreting is a mode of interpreting in which the speaker makes a speech (or says a few sentences) whilst the interpreter takes notes or listens to the speaker. When the speaker finishes saying two or three sentences, the interpreter takes turn to interpret the speaker’s messages.  

 

Price and Expenses of Consecutive Interpreting Service

1. The price of interpreting service is based on per day (maximum of eight working hours).
2. The interpreter’s working hour is calculated from the interpreter arrives in the event location.
3. For the interpreting work that is less than eight working hours is still counted as one day-interpreting service.
4. For the interpreting work that is more than eight working hours will be charged overtime fees which will be counted per hour.
5. The consecutive interpreting works must be performed by two interpreters for the event that is held more than one hour in order to maintain the quality of the interpreting work performed by the interpreters.
6. For the event held within Jabodetabek or in another city , the accommodation, transportation fares (train, airplane, and/or bus tickets), hotels, foods and beverages will be fully charged to the client.
7. The price stated in the quotation will be an estimated costs only, therefore the real cost covering all expenses will be discussed further with the client.

 

 Payment

1. The interpreting service price and all expenses during the interpreting event, including accommodation, hotel, transportation, foods and beverages, and/or other expenses must be fully paid by the client one week before the event held.
2. Mexa Translations will only accept and schedule the interpreting service for the client only after we receive the full payment of the interpreting service and all expenses for the event, including accommodation, hotel, transportation, foods and beverages, and/or other expenses.
3. The overtime cost will be charged to the client and must be fully paid by the client not more than 5 working days after we send the invoice of overtime working hour.
4. The late payment of the overtime cost as mentioned above will be caused Mexa Translations to charge an additional fee of 10% of the total amount of the invoice to the client.
5. The payment will be made by bank transfer to the account of the owner of Mexa Translations.
6. The interpreting service fees and all expenses that have been paid and transferred to the bank account of the owner of Mexa Translations are non-refundable.
